Oceanic is a major sponsor the 2013 Miss Scuba USA Pageant. They have graciously provided the 2012 USA representative, Miss Ashlee Smith, with a full set of dive gear in patriotic Red, White & Blue and other assorted Oceanic products, to represent the USA with pride.
Life on Earth as we know it today began with our oceans. Thus, we decided that it is time that an event such as this is produced to celebrate, not only, the inner beauty and courage of today’s modern women, but also to simultaneously advocate worldwide marine conservation.
Miss Scuba USA is the only official preliminary for the Miss Scuba International Pageant, and is the first pageant of its kind in the USA. Our winner will travel to a country yet to be determined in November of 2013 to compete in the World finals, participating in diving expeditions and Marine conservation projects.
